RH-5, Cotabato City to facilitate compliance with the newly-enacted RA 11934 or Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Registration Act. The assistance will be provided until the end of the registration period. Hence, BTC intends to broaden its scope, and increase its efforts to educate the public about the said Act. Also, its provincial offices in Lanao Del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi are doing similar efforts.It is spearheading these efforts in the Bangsamoro Region to make SIM registrations easier in remote areas with limited internet access and technical resources. 3 May 2019, Monday Cotabato City – The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) formally opened its 1st annual Ramadan Trade Fair last May 8 the 3rd day of Ramadhan in the ninth month of the Islamic Calendar. “The Ramadan trade fair this year is more family-friendly as it has a bigger dining area for friends and family and also a common space for visitors,” said Rosslaini Alonto Sinarimbo, officer-in-charge, Ministry of Trade and Industry – BARMM. The trade fair, held in coordination with the region’s Ministry of Tourism (MOT), featuring various food and non-food products available across the region. The trade fair will still feature nightly programs that will include discussions covering a wide range of Islamic topics sponsored by different BARMM line agencies.
