MOTC to transition from current management to ISO Certification

To promote standardization of management systems and processes and to boost employee performance and productivity, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications sought the technical expertise of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) relative to ISO certification in the aim to transition its current management system to an ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Minister Paisalin P. Tago and Bai Naimah Mirrah Rayhan, Internal Auditor III, presented the core business processes and services to advance toward essential steps to becoming an ISO-certified business/ service office.

ISO management system standards (MSS) help organizations improve their performance by specifying repeatable steps that organizations consciously implement to achieve their goals and objectives and to create an organizational culture that reflexively engages in a continuous cycle of self-evaluation and correction to improve.

This is an offshoot of the previous two-day Training Workshop on Citizen’s Charter Implementation and Sustainability The Development Academy of the Philippines’ (DAP) Center for Governance (CFG), through its Local Governance and Development Office (LGDO), conducted Along with other ministries and agencies, on February 9-10, 2023 at the Alnor Convention Center in Cotabato City where the MOTC was one of the various ministries who participated in the said event.
