MOTC to open new route in international shipping

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications convened a meeting with the Regional Head for South East Asia, Regional Container Line (RCL), other offices, and stakeholders to discuss the establishment of a shipping route between Singapore and Polloc Port in Parang, Maguindanao Del Norte last February 7, 2023, in Em Manor, Cotabato City.

Primary on the agenda are the preliminary discussion on the possible routes, the passenger and cargo traffic, and its effects on the economy of BARMM and surrounding regions. Both parties agree that BARMM has a bright economic future given its potentials insofar as trade and tourism are concerned, and relatively the shipping industry will play a big role in making this bright future a reality.
