MOTC to Implement Infra Projects, Sets Off Task Force

True to its commitment in building infrastructures that will improve the movement of people and goods in the Bangsamoro Region, Minister Paisalin Tago directed the Ministry’s Engineering Team to conduct an immediate site inspection and validation of the various infrastructure projects that is to be undertaken by the Ministry this 2023.

Minister Tago missioned the Engineering Team to conduct pre-engineering works, i.e. site inspection, preparation of terms of reference, and other related pre-engineering works, necessary for the implementation of the infrastructure projects.

The Team undertook a week-long site visit of the MOTC facilities in the island provinces of Basilan, Sulu & Tawi-tawi and coordinated with various stakeholders, most importantly with the Local Government Units.

The ultimate goal of the activity is to ensure the smooth conduct of the bidding activities and the fast and efficient implementation of the projects, which include the rehabilitation of the Sitangkai Port Passenger Terminal and Sanga-Sanga Airport, both in the province of Tawi-Tawi, among many others.

The MOTC’s Task Force Engineering is headed by Engr. Nasrodin Masakal, Officer In Charge of the Engineering Division.
