The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) prepares for ‘OPLAN Byaheng Ayos: SK Barangang Election and Undas 2023,’ set to run from October 28 to November 4, 2023. This operation covers airports with commercial flights, managed by the Bangsamoro Government, highlighting the significance of MOTC’s commitment to passenger safety and convenience.
MOTC’s Bangsamoro Airport Authority (BAA) and Civil Aeronautics Board of the Bangsamoro (CABB), in collaboration with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, (CAAP) Office for Transportation Security (OTS), and the Aviation Security Unit BAR, have been working to ensure a seamless and efficient journey for air travelers during this period.
Help desks and public assistance counters will be set up in Cotabato (Awang) and Sanga-Sanga Airports, while Jolo Airports will likewise observe in preparation for its inaugural commercial flights. Airport authorities will intensify security and conduct visible security monitoring, in cooperation with relevant agencies and police forces.
