MOTC shows support to MSU-Marawi bombing victims
Following the incident of the recent bombing that took place yesterday, Sunday, while our Christian brothers and sisters are attending the mass at the Dimaporo Gymnasium, Mindanao State University-Main Campus, in Marawi, the country’s largest Muslim city, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications gathered support from its attached agencies, and as one community, manifested support to the victims of this heinous crime.
Minister Tago, along with its Executives and some personnel, went on a convoy to personally be on the grounds of the Mindanao State University campus to manifest solidarity and support in any way possible, decompress from the trauma with our Christian community and all those affected by this tragedy, whether momentary or long term, as we all know, it will affect them and that, the least we could do is to show them care and love at this time of grief.
The case, almost too gruesome to mention, took ten lives as of today, bringing a total body count of deceased, while four are still undergoing major surgery at Amay Pakpak Medical Center (APMC). Notwithstanding, a toll of 29 who incurred minor injuries after being treated at a medical facility were released yesterday.
The ministry extends its warmest sympathies to the families and hopes to aid in bringing justice to the victims.
OIC Director Garib Abas also met with his personnel to update them on the port security situation and remind port officials and personnel to be vigilant in any possible threat that may risk passenger’s safety.
