MOTC participates Shariff Kabunsuan Festival 2023

Minister Atty. Paisalin P. Tago, CPA, of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), along with the Water Transport Services, namely the Bangsamoro Ports Management Authority (BPMA) and the Bangsamoro Maritime Industry Authority (BMARINA) joined in the Shariff Kabungsuan Festival, a colorful festival commemorating the arrival of Shariff Kabunsuan via Rio Grande de Mindanao celebrated by the Bangsamoro people in mainland Mindanao every December 19.

This festival commemorates the arrival of Shariff Mohammad Kabunsuan, an Arab-Malay missionary, to introduce the Islamic faith in the 16th century.

The fluvial parade or Guinakit along Rio Grande de Mindanao highlighted the celebration of the SK Festival 2023, where the MOTC took a role in the parade displaying its colorful motor boat among other ministries and offices.
