The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) has officially launched the “Free Driver’s Licenses” program, funded through the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF), today, March 8, 2024. This program aims to provide underprivileged free driver’s licenses through the Bangsamoro Land Transportation Office (BLTO).
MOTC Minister Atty. Paisalin P. Tago, CPA, emphasized the transformative impact of this program, highlighting its thousands of beneficiaries while also enhancing the regulation of the land transportation sector.
The initiative will be implemented across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region and Muslim Mindanao, ensuring that services are readily available and accessible, in line with Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim’s directive.
The following Members of Parliament: Jaafar Apollo Mikhail L. Matalam, Hashemi N. Dilangalen, Amilbahar S. Mawallil, Rasul E. Ismael, Atty. Rasol Y. Mitmug, Jr., and Khalid Ma-Amor Hadji Abdullah sponsor the said program through their offices’ TDIF. MP Bai Intan Ampatuan also graced the launching.
