MOTC holds Planning and Budgeting Workshop for FY 2024


The Ministry of Transportation and Communications held an Operational Planning and Budgeting Workshop to formulate winning strategies for specific agency goals of the ministry and craft a sound Work and Financial Plan (WFP) to map out what is hoped to be achieved in the current year in pursuit of Revenue Generation and Economic Comparative Advantage as one of the BARMM’s 12-point priority agenda for 2024-2025.

The Executives Service Directors of Land, Water, Air, Sector Heads, and Division Chiefs attended the 3-day workshop at the Alnor Convention Center, Surya Hall, 2nd Floor, Cotabato City.

As budgeting plays a very crucial role in the planning-budgeting-execution cycle, each agency was required to consider the components of operational capabilities, agency goals, alignment action items with timelines and key milestones to outline their intended measures and outcomes by elaborating the Operational Budget (OB) to demystify the results of their proposals.

In his speech, MOTC Minister Paisalin Tago expressed high hopes that the planning of Programs and Projects (PAPs) will reflect the blueprint that which has become fruitful in their implementation.

He urged every participant to be innovative and responsive to budget challenges since the necessary skills, tools, and techniques to develop and craft their own realistic annual budget plan considering various components have already been taught. He said that the plan should be anchored on agency goals and tactics will hit their performance targets.
