MOTC Holds Gender Sensitivity Training for newly hired, promoted Employees

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) recently organized a Gender Sensitivity Training for its newly hired and promoted employees at Dakak Beach Resort, Dapitan City, on February 15, 2024.

Minister Atty. Paisalin P. Tago, CPA underscored the training’s importance in government service during his opening remarks, highlighting the ministry’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and gender equality.

A total of 81 MOTC employees actively participated in the training sessions, facilitated by Mohammad Usman Balimbingan, Information Management Officer, and GAD Specialist III Rohaniya Mohammad-Sumail of the Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC).

The training topics include gender equality, gender mainstreaming, understanding gender roles and stereotypes, and strategies for promoting gender-sensitive policies and practices within the ministry.

This initiative reflects MOTC’s dedication to fostering a work environment that values diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all its employees.
