MOTC gears its 7 Sectors for 2023 Budget Call

In the fulfillment of its mandate of delivering fast, efficient, reliable, and safe transportation and communication services in the Bangsamoro Region, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) conducts Planning and Budgeting Workshop to prepare concrete plans, programs, and activities that are aligned in the sectoral agencies’ respective mandates and the Chief Minister’s 12-point agenda at the New Alnor Convention Hall, Cotabato City, April 8, 11-13, 2022.

This activity aims to orient the participants on the Bangsamoro Financial and Budgeting system and the Bangsamoro Budget Preparation (BBP Forms), guide the participants in the determination of their plans, programs, and activities, review, update, and consolidate the required forms for FY 2023 to submit to MFBM, and level up the agency’s performance by providing direction for the execution and implementation of the respective agency and division’s mandate and plans.

The Planning, Monitoring, and Research Division and the Budget Section spearhead the conduct of this activity to harmonize all the plans of the Ministry. These two-lead offices assist the sectoral agencies in determining plans, programs, and activities along with the preparation of the Bangsamoro Budget Proposal (BBP).

Moreover, this also serves as a preparatory stage during the Technical Budget hearing of the Ministry of Finance and Budget and Management.

The four-day workshop’s participants are the sector heads, division chiefs together with their respective focal persons for planning and budgeting. PMRD and the Budget section assist the sectoral offices and divisions in formulating their various plans, which are to be presented for panel discussion and recommendation.

At the end of the workshop, it is expected that all participants will be able to submit their draft of BBP Forms together with the necessary attachments for approval and consolidation of the Budget Section and Planning Division.
