MOTC employees undergo virtual orientation on LACE
In the interest to boosts employee engagement and work satisfaction, understanding, and appreciation of the new idea on laws and administrative issuances relative to administration of leave in the government service and in clarifying unresolved issues about their implementation, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications Administrative Division, through the Civil Service Commission, conducted a two-day Virtual Orientation on Leave Administration Course for Effectiveness (LACE) to 85 employees on May 12-13, 2022.
The orientation aims to appreciate and explain the laws on leave privileges under CSC Resolution No. 98-3142, s. 1998, the CSC adopts the amendments to Rule XVI Leave and the definitions of leave terms under Rule I of the Omnibus Civil Service Rules Implementing Book V of the Administrative Code of 1987 (Executive Order 292)
Moreover, this will update employees on the changes in the application for leave. The enactment of the Paternity Leave Act and the issuance of CSC Memorandum Circulars Nos. 6 and 20, s. 1996, on special leave privileges (SLPs), and various CSC Resolutions will help clarify certain gray areas that cause misinterpretation of the existing leave provisions.
It will also clarify and sets expectations of the participants with the implementation of rules and regulations on leave administration to make a more relevant response to current realities and concerns towards a more productive and enhanced government human resource administration system.
