More than 40 officials and personnel from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications-BARMM and its attached agencies gained a deeper understanding of R.A. 9184, also known as the Government Procurement Act, through a training-workshop held from November 7 to November 8, 2023, at the Sotogrande Hotel, Davao City.
The primary goal of this initiative is to equip all participants, including employees, end-users, procurement staff, BAC (Bids and Awards Committee) members, TWG (Technical Working Group) members, and Secretariats, with a comprehensive understanding of the critical provisions of the said law.
Minister Atty. Paisalin P. Tago reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that all employees are well-versed in the law and apply it rigorously. This endeavor aligns with the broader goal of upholding Moral Governance, as articulated by Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim.
A notable highlight of the workshop was the presence and insights of Atty. Manuel Anthony S. Tan. his extensive experience and expertise significantly enhanced the quality and engagement of the training.
