Minister Paisalin P. Tago and other MOTC Officials paid a courtesy visit to DOTr Secretary Jaime J. Bautista and other Top officials to ensure effective coordination, collaboration, and cooperation between the offices.
Minister Tago informed the National Office with the basis for knowledge and understanding of the updates of transformation evolving in the management and control concerning programs, projects, and activities conducted on the land, water, and air transport services of the BARMM.
Meanwhile, the creation of a new set of passenger transportation vessels to run routes via Zamboanga City Port to Lamitan City Port and vice versa via a RORO was another topic that was addressed in order to boost sea viability and people mobility.
The BAA’s bottlenecks on the completion of the construction of the new Passenger Terminal Building in Cotabato Airport and the confirmation of actual turnover of the landside management of all airports of the BARMM were deliberated.
Moreover, Atty. Daljun Lucas, Deputy Director of CAAP, affirms his commitment to giving an eye to the project completion by March 2023 for BARMM to have the opportunity to open the gateway that serves as an ingress and egress of people, goods, and other services.
Finally, Secretary Jaime Bautista gave assurance in supporting BARMM’s effort toward development.
