Developing Story: MOTC rolls out another wave of relief aids to Paeng victims in BARMM

As part of its ongoing relief efforts, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications-BARMM and the Office of Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III have collaborated to bring relief goods to Paeng-ravaged areas in the Bangsamoro Region.

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications-BARMM headed to the Municipality of Parang via Buldon and Barira on November 4, 2022, to deliver another wave of relief aids to the affected communities in the area.

Mayor Cahar Ibay and National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Norah Mamariong welcomed the arrival of 1,500 cases of relief supplies for immediate distribution.

Meanwhile, Minister Tago, through his representative Abdul Rahman Gandamra, and Chief Administrative Officer Omarsaqaff Datumanong facilitated the distribution of relief aid and coordinated with different local leaders.

Furthermore, Mayor Ibay and NDRRMO Mamariong expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the MOTC and partners for the relief assistance and sacrifices made beyond the hours of service.

In order to fulfill its mission of providing fast, efficient, and dependable transportation and communication services, the MOTC will continue to collaborate with other BARMM government agencies to support disaster victims in responding to constituent needs.

This effort is in response to Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim’s directive that aid be provided to affected residents.
