Atty. Paisalin P. Tago, CPA, Minister of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), and Atty. Hamid Aminoddin D. Barra, Minister of the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD), was tasked to lead the commemoration of the 5th Bangsamoro Foundation Day in the province of Lanao Del Sur. The celebration kicked off in the Islamic City of Marawi on January 22, 2024, with an impressive parade that brought together more than 2000 jubilant Bangsamoros and employees of the different ministries, agencies, and offices of the Bangsamoro Government.
Chief Minister Al-Haj Murad Ebrahim, in his video message, greeted the participants and reminded everyone of the collective duty to the Almighty and the fellow Bangsamoro to sustain the dividends of the peace process and to craft a harmonious Bangsamoro that endures throughout the ages, He further said:
“Maging kabahagi nawa ang bawat Bangsamoro saan mang panig ng rehiyon sa patuloy na pag ukit ng mga haligi ng isang nagkakaisa at matatag na Bangsamoro”
The Mayor of Islamic City of Marawi, Sultan Atty. Majul U. Gandamra said that the commemoration of the Bangsamoro Foundation Day is not just a celebration of history and culture but a testament to the progress that the Bangsamoro people have made in the region and a reminder of collective strength, resilience, and unity in the face of adversity. He said that the Islamic City of Marawi will always work hand in hand with the Bangsamoro Government for the full implementation of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL).
Inside the Marawi Convention Center, various services and programs are offered by the ministries, agencies, and offices of the Bangsamoro Government in their respective booths. Beneficiaries and residents are lining up to avail of these aids and assistance.
