Effective March 13, 2023, the Civil Aeronautics Board of the Bangsamoro will fully exercise its vested powers and functions in the Bangsamoro Region under Republic Act No. 11054, otherwise known as the Bangsamoro Organic Law.
“We extend our warmest congratulations, and we will continue to maintain our coordination and cooperation with the CABB.” The Civil Aeronautics Board said so in their letter to MOTC.
The CABB expressed its gratitude for all the assistance and support that CAB had extended. “We hope to maintain the line of our coordination and cooperation, for we know that we will always need your guidance as we exercise our vested functions.” Minister Paisalin P. Tago stated this in his message.
The ceremonial turnover is set to be held after Ramadhan to celebrate CABB’s renewed commitment to developing the economic aspect of BARMM’s air transportation.
According to OIC Director Muhammad Galo, CABB is preparing to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with various local government units to jointly harmonize and strengthen the regulation of air commerce in BARMM after the formal turnover.
