COTABATO CITY – The Bangsamoro Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (BLTFRB) conducted a stakeholder’s meeting consultation under the leadership of BLTFRB Regional OIC-Director I Atty. Bai Sandra U. Sandialan, Sh.C., together with Chief Transportation Development Officer (TDO) Kaizer M. Nasilin, on February 14, 2023, at the BLTFRB Office, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City.
The meeting aimed to foster participation and cooperation between BLTFRB and its stakeholders. The meeting was attended by representatives of various transport cooperatives and corporations as well as individual operators in Cotabato City.
In a statement, Chief TDO Kaizer M. Nasilin stressed that “isa sa layunin ng BLTFRB ay mapadali ang serbisyong ibinibigay natin sa publiko at para makatulong sa Bangsamoro, sa pamamagitan ng pamumuno ni Atty. Sandialan, itong LTFRB-BARMM ay mapapabuti”
OIC-Director Atty. Sandialan provided updates on the BLTFRB’s operations, noting that the board will meet on February 21 and that it intends to open routes in Maguindanao, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, and Tawi-Tawi.
“The BLTFRB-Board will meet on February 21, 2023, and it intends to open routes in Maguindanao, Basilan, Lanao del Sur and Tawi-Tawi. BLTFRB then will accept applications for CPC and other relevant permits,” OIC-Director Atty. Sandialan stated.
The issues and concerns of the transport sector were also discussed including the modernization program of the national government.
The meeting concludes with an agreement that BLTFRB-BARMM will consistently hold meetings with its stakeholders to provide updates on BLTFRB initiatives for effective public land transportation system in BARMM.
