Under the guidance of Atty. Paisalin P. Tago, this initiative aimed to enhance the pilgrim travel experience and serve the needs of the Bangsamoro people. Participating agencies included the Bangsamoro Maritime Industry Authority (BMARINA), and the Bangsamoro Ports Management Authority (BPMA). the Bangsamoro Pilgrimage Authority (BPA), led by Nashrodin E. Calib, and the Hajj Regional Processing Center-SOCCKSARGEN. The Ministry’s efforts were supported by the Ministry of Health, represented by Datu Abdulshattar E. Zailon II, RN, Chief of the Population Division, Deputy Governor Misuari Macapeges of PLGU-MDN, and the Bangsamoro Information Office, ensuring an efficient journey for pilgrims.
In its second year, this Oplan Hajj Salubong initiated by the MOTC aligns with directives reflecting the dedicated leadership of BARMM Chief Minister Honorable Ahod B. Ebrahim, emphasized the significance of regional connectivity and facilitation of religious obligations that was set to be conducted until next week.
It underscored the Bangsamoro’s commitment to supporting the Hajj pilgrimage and demonstrated its capability in managing landside operational standards. As more pilgrims embark on their spiritual journey through Bangsamoro airports, this milestone establishes a promising precedent for future pilgrimage seasons and advancements in regional air travel. The families and loved ones of the pilgrims expressed thanks for the generosity and support the MOTC extended that have deeply touched their hearts and strengthened their faith.
