BAA represents MOTC to witness the Turn-Over Ceremony of Cotabato Airport Development Project

The Bangsamoro Airport Authority (BAA) headed by its Regional Head,CARMENCITA O. SALIK representing MOTC BARMM Minister Dickson P Hermoso and the Awang Airport Manager, JOHARI L. MUSA together with the Civil Aviation Area Manager of Cotabato, MOHAMMAD NAGA S. RASCAL witnessed the Turn-Over Ceremony of Cotabato Airport Development Project ( Runway Strip Grade Correction) located at Baranggay Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat Maguindanao from the 54th Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army headed by their Chief Engineer, BGEN. GERARDO P. CATINDOY PA who were tasked to undertake the project to the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTR) and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

A representative by ASST. SEC. JAIME ALBERTO C. MELO of the DOTR, the Commander of 54EBde, BGEN ANTHONY T. CACAYURAN PA, the Director of Bangsamoro Land Transportation DIR. DATU NUR ABUTAZIL and MOTC Legal Division, ATTY. KENDATU LAGUIALAM were also present.

The Cotabato Airport Development Project ( Runway Strip Grade Correction) primarily aims to reduce the risk of damage to an aircraft under shooting or over running the runway. The Airport Development plays an important role in economic development here in Mindanao.
