ExecCom and ManCom Meetings Address Governance and Operations Strategies

The Executive Committee (ExecCom) and Management Committee (ManCom) meetings, led by Minister Paisalin P. Tago, took place from October 18 to 20, 2024, at the Grand Summit Hotel in General Santos City. This significant gathering brought together Deputy Minister Mohammad Ameen Abbas, Director General Roslaine Macao Maniri, Service Directors, Office Heads, Division Chiefs, Section Heads, and support staff to discuss an agenda on critical issues to enhance governance and operational efficiency within the ministry.

One of the primary focuses of the meetings was the drafting of Internal Rules for ExecCom and ManCom meetings, intended to streamline decision-making processes and ensure accountability. Participants discussed proposed guidelines that would enhance transparency and improve the overall effectiveness of future meetings.

Additionally, a Draft Grievance Committee was introduced to provide a structured approach to addressing employee concerns and fostering a healthier workplace environment. The agenda also included a discussion on the Draft Reward and Penalty Guidelines for early and late compliances to promote accountability and excellence among staff. Minister Tago highlighted the importance of recognizing outstanding performance while addressing non-compliance. In addition, the meetings addressed the BTA budget hearing for 2025, along with the status of the CASA review and the design of new uniforms for employees, all essential for ensuring the ministry operates smoothly and professionally.

Furthermore, topics included updates on the reimbursement of travel expenses for employees, the liquidation of cash advances, and a procurement status report. The officials also held an entrance conference with the Commission on Audit (COA) to ensure compliance and accountability in financial matters. The comprehensive discussions during these three days are expected to significantly enhance operational procedures and foster a culture of integrity and efficiency within the ministry.
