Industry leaders stressed aligning local aviation policies with international standards to tackle pressing challenges such as infrastructure, safety, and regulatory frameworks.

The participants called for a comprehensive overhaul of existing laws and regulations to ensure competitiveness in the Asian aviation market by 2028. The Bangsamoro Airport Authority is poised to play a pivotal role in this transformation, focusing on aviation education, infrastructure modernization, and operational efficiency.

As the industry evolves, the authority’s contributions will be crucial in establishing the Bangsamoro region as a key player in sustainable aviation practices, supporting the Philippines’ broader economic progress while establishing itself as a key hub for sustainable and innovative aviation practices in Southeast Asia.
