BTC begins inventory of Bangsamoro’s Offices using Handheld Radio
Pursuant to the powers vested by the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) upon the Bangsamoro Telecommunications Commission (BTC) for the systematic, efficient, and effective utilization of the radio frequency spectrum, it embarks on April 19, 2022, the inventory of the portable and eventual registration of Portable Radio Equipment and Radio Operators in different government offices in the Bangsamoro Region.
Minister Dickson P. Hermoso, through the BTC Commissioner Muhammad Ameen M. Abbas and his staff, conduct the said inspection in the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms (OSAA).
Meanwhile, Sheittie Jane Abas Tulon-Ugokan-OIC for the Security Support Services Section of the OSAA, representing Sergeant-at-Arms Abdulgani B. Caludtiag, said that OSAA would then coordinate with the commission for the conduct of Restricted Land Radio Operators Seminar to the offices of the 80 Members of the Parliament.
Likewise, the BTC conducts seminars for different groups, agencies, and offices to orient radio operators how to effectively and properly use handheld radios. Consequently, after that, they can obtain a Radio Operator License.
