MOTC inks MOA with Cebu Pacific Air, Philippine Airlines


Bangsamoro Airport Authority (BAA), an attached agency under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications inked a Memorandum of Agreement with Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific on the Domestic Service Passenger Service Charge yesterday, Jan 20.

As outlined in the agreement, the DPSC, also known as the Passenger Terminal Fee of PhP 200.00, which is levied on tickets purchased for flights departing from BARMM airports, will be collected by the air carriers and remitted directly to the Bangsamoro Treasury Office.

The signing aimed to devise measures to reduce the processing time of passengers' service fee collection to promote a smoother, seamless, convenient, safe, and hassle-free travel experience.

This milestone promotes cooperation and coordination among the MOTC’s stakeholders which improves transparency and convenience. Hence, it will maximize opportunities in the future for the benefit of the Bangsamoro Region.
