MOTC holds Symposium on Islam’s Concept of Gender Stereotype

As the Ministry of Transportation and Communications-BARMM continues to intensify its efforts in the pursuit of gender and development, it conducts a Symposium on Gender Stereotyping in the Concept of Islam for its personnel on April 19 & 22, 2022, at Glamour Convention, Cotabato City.

This enabling mechanism that supports the GAD efforts of the ministry coincides with the observance of the holy month of Ramadhan this 2022. MOTC leads the conversation
in challenging gender stereotypes to ensure that everyone can contribute and benefit from development and changes in the workplace.

The MOTC invites Uztadz Faisal Dacungan to lecture on different issues, ideas, and concepts that stand for an understanding drawn from a particular fact or logic in response to the stereotype of Gender in the context of Islam. Likewise, the said symposium is attended by the MOT’s officials and employees, including its seven sectors.

This symposium is made possible by the concerted efforts of the Office of the Deputy Minister Abunawas L. Maslamama, who initiates the conduct of the activity in partnership with the ministry’s Gender and Development Focal Point Committee.
