As part of the finalization of its Rules of Procedure (ROP), the Civil Aeronautics Board of the Bangsamoro observed the quasi-judicial proceedings of its national counterpart, the Civil Aeronautics Board of the Philippines, via teleconferencing today, Jan 26, at the BPMA Conference Hall.
The hybrid observation was carried out following the CAB Rules on Virtual Hearings. Hence, the ultimate goal was to develop and finalize the ROP Governing Hearings and Investigations.
“Through our continued collaboration with CAB and Legal and Liaison Services, we will be able to adopt and finalize our ROP that is well suited to the needs of the BARMM’s air commerce given that this January, the Governing Board is set to convene.” Chief Galo said.
The activity also served as a venue for CABB personnel to be orientated and made more aware of the procedural and substantive exercise of quasi-judicial power.
It further provided the CABB personnel with a better understanding of their obligation to act with integrity in the rule of law and handling regulatory cases.
